PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICE

The Director of Public Information and Media Relations serves as a communications liaison between the media, the County staff, and elected officials in order to facilitate the timely dissemination of information about programs, services, and activities. The office coordinates press coverage for all major functions of the County and assists with the production of County publications for staff and the community including newsletters, brochures, a calendar of events, and an annual report. The office manages PittTv, the County's PEG channel, and is also responsible for the County's Speakers Bureau which provides staff members to speak in their areas of expertise to civic groups, churches, schools, or associations.
